            Sub: Request to settle the Contract workers problems- reg

The following contract workers problems are brought to the notice of our union for settlement.

1. The amount deducted as EPF by the Online consultancy, Bangalore during the period from 01/06/2007 to 31/12/2008 neither remitted to EPF account nor refunded till date.  It was informed that a sum of Rs.12 lakhs was withheld from the security deposit of the contractor for the settlement, but not settled. The matter may please be verified and necessary action may be taken to refund the amount to the concerned contract workers.

2.  It is verified from the EPF office that the amount deducted as EPF by the Shree security agency  during the period from 01/11/2015  to 30/09/2016 for 20 workers mostly from Area 1 not included in EPF account.  Kindly arrange to reconcile,  otherwise for refund.

3. The remittance details of EPF contribution not communicated to the workers by the Balaji agency, Tiruchy for the past one year.

4. Every month a sum of Rs.10- were deducted from the salary of the workers by the Balaji agency, Tiruchy for the past one year. It may be avoided.

5. Our circle union has given a call for agitation in front of CGM office, Chennai as hunger fast from 12.09.2017 to 15.09.2017 to settle the grievances of contract workers, and it was deferred towards the assurance given by Circle Administration to pay the wages before 7^th of every month also bonus by the contractor.  Therefore it is requested to ensure the minimum bonus of Rs.7000- to all the contract workers in our SSA.

6. As per Circle office guidelines, the Skilled/Semi-Skilled/Unskilled wages are implemented at many SSAs including Kumbakonam, but so far in our SSA it is not done. Therefore kindly look in to the matter to implement atleast from this month with the consultation with  service unions.

BSNL Management Committee approves proposal to settle Wage Revision with 15% fitment.

After the One Day Strike, held on 27.07.2017, in a meeting held with the unions and associations, shri Anupam Shrivastava, CMD BSNL, told that the BSNL Management would once again send a proposal to the government, recommending settlement of Wage Revision to BSNL employees, w.e.f., 01.01.2017. Accordingly, it is learnt that the BSNL Management Committee has now approved a proposal to be sent to the government. As per this proposal, the Management wants to give Wage Revision to the employees with 15% fitment and the allowances are to be frozen (means allowances will not be increased, based on Wage Revision.) This is really a positive step taken by the BSNL Management. This proposal will go to the BSNL Board for approval. We sincerely appreciate the CMD BSNL, as well as the Management Committee, for taking such a step. At the same time, we also like to caution the employees. They should not have any illusion that, the Wage Revision is going to be automatically settled, based on this proposal of the Management. We wish to emphatically tell the employees that the government is firm in not settling Wage Revision for BSNL employees. Only through serious united struggles, we can get Wage Revision. Let us get prepared for that.

நமது மத்திய சங்கத்தின் தொடர் முயற்சியின் காரணமாக‌ JAO தேர்வு முடிவுகளை மறு பரிசிலனை செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று கோரிக்கை வைத்ததின் அடிப்படையில் திருத்தப்பட்ட‌ RESULT வெளீயாகியுள்ளது அதில் வெற்றி பெற்றவர்களுக்கு நம்முடைய வாழ்த்துக்களை தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறோம்.

இதற்கு முயற்சி எடுத்த நமது மத்திய சங்க்த்திற்கு நம்முடைய மனமார்ந்த, நன்றியையும் பாராட்டுதல்களையும் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறோம்

இரவு நேரம் இலவசமாக பேசும் வசதி ஊழியர்களூக்கும் உத்தரவிடப்பட்டது.

இரவு நேரம் இலவசமாக ( இரவு 9.00 மணியிலிருந்து காலை 7.00 மணி வரை) பேசும் வசதி வாடிக்கையாளர்களூக்கு அறிமுகப்ப்டுத்தப்பட்டது. இதை BSNLல் பணிபுரியும் ஊழியர்களுக்கும், ஓய்வு பெற்றவர்களுக்கும் அமுல்படுத்த வேண்டுமென்று நமது சங்கம் நிர்வாகத்திடம் கோரிக்கை வைத்து பேசி வந்தது. அதனடிப்படையில் ஓய்வு பெற்ற்வர்களூக்கு மட்டும் உத்தரவிடப்பட்டது. இதை பணியாற்றும் ஊழியர்களூக்கும் அமுல்படுத்த வேண்டுமென்று மீண்டும் வலியுறுத்தி வந்தோம். அதன் தொடர்ச்சியாக BSNL நிர்வாகம் 30/8/2017 அன்று உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது.
நமது மத்திய சங்கத்திற்கு நம்முடைய மனமார்ந்த, நன்றியையும் பாராட்டுதல்களையும் தெரிவித்துக்கொள்கிறோம்.
